Or it's just the Tron tease lines?

Looking good so far... The current Pilot is so old.

Looks like an MDX and CRV cross

Looks pretty generic to me, ignoring the light lines.

Like a stretched CR-V with the MDX's quarter glass and hatch.

It's definitely an improvement over the current box. But nothing too revolutionary. The 3 extra inches of third row space will be nice, though!

They don't want to scare away the current boomer buyers, I guess.

My mom has a pre-facelift 2nd gen Pilot. I really like the styling. When they facelifted it, they ruined it. I like the square no-nonsense styling of it.
Now, I hate how it drives. The steering is so light and doesn't have a ton of feel. I like heavy steering on big cars. I want to feel the weight of the vehicle. It keeps you remembering that you're piloting(ha!) several tons of steel.

Well, it is a lot better than the current one. And hopefully the technology will be more 2015.

Car for soccer moms and accountant dads.
Steering's good.

You know, while I understand trying to inject a little style into the Pilot, why do automakers insist on raising the beltlines and essentially giving us less visibility? It's rather maddening.

I know. My mom loves it. She had a Sequoia before(which I adored the steering in) and this has the suv size with car handling/ride that she wants. I've been slowly corrupting her though. She's been talking about getting a sports car in a couple years. Talks of Mustangs, BRZs, F Types, BMW coupes, even older cool stuff like MGBs and the like have been interesting her. Something to make a nice weather runabout. thisisgood.jpg

Because narrow greenhouses are aggressive and sexy, that's how human perception works, I guess.
And the car is pretty tall, giving you a commanding view of the road.
